Nolan Nicely is a native of Alleghany County, Virginia. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College, summa cum laude, in 1991, and received his juris doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1994. After law school, he returned to his hometown and has practiced with William Wilson and Russ Updike since 1994. Nolan's practice focuses on complex civil litigation, and he spends much of his time working on information discovery, legal research and writing, liens, insurance issues and other issues necessary to navigating the document and information intensive environment of complex personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Nolan is a Trustee of his Church, an avid hunter and lives with his wife, Hope, and two sons, Nolan III and Asher in eastern Alleghany County.
